RJM & Associates works with agencies to design a training that fits that agency’s needs. The 2-day intensive training covers the evidence-based practice and history of CRAFT, skills training in each of the CRAFT procedures, role plays and practice, and consultation on various client scenarios. Participants will be asked to participate in practice and receive feedback on utilization with the model. The goal of the intensive CRAFT training is to help participants feel comfortable and confident with the CRAFT model and ready to use with clients immediately.
Onsite training is provided by Dr. Meyers or an associate of RJM &Associates. The cost of the 2-day training is $14,000*. Airfare, lodging and food will be the trainer’s responsibility (i.e., will be covered by the $14,000). Agencies can have up to 30-40 participants in a training; additional participants may require a second trainer and an additional fee. The sponsoring agency/program also must provide the following:
Dr. Meyers will send the PowerPoint presentation and the forms in advance electronically so that the agency/program can install them on their computer. And hand them out to the participants.
Participants are encouraged to purchase the most recent A-CRA manual, The Adolescent Community Reinforcement Approach: A Clinical Guide for Treating Substance use Disorders by Susan Godley, Jane Ellen Smith and Robert J Meyers. It can be found and purchased through Amazon.
All participants completing the training can receive a certificate of attendance. Availability of CEUs will depend on the state’s requirements for CEU providers.
*All trainings outside the USA will have an extra charge for travel expenses. If cost is a barrier, scholarships may be available to agencies upon request.
Pursue CRA / A-CRA certification ensuring clinician proficiency in the model by receiving training and feedback on fidelity to the standardized coding manual.
